We only had a night in Johannesburg before dropping Diana and David at the airport - their 3 weeks here had flown by. In the evening we went to Monte Casino (S26 01.509 E28 00.953). In the photo it may look like daylight but it's actually an indoor Italian village, During the day the ceiling is a blue sky with clouds and then in the evening it changes to a starry sky. We spent an hour or so wandering around the shops, cafes, restaurants and the casino before meeting Des and Greg for a meal. A couple of 'streets' at Monte Casino. We decided to eat at The Meat Co. Check out the 'Butcher's Skewer' that David had - and he managed to eat all of it. Diana and David didn't need to be at the airport until 4pm so we decided to visit the Military History Museum. It was fascinating with displays on lots of different conflicts and with loads of military hardware - tanks, aircraft, missiles, personnel carriers etc The display boards were very informative. The only disappointment was that we weren't allowed to take photos so the only one I've got is of the cenotaph outside the museum. 2. Giant's Castle and Royal Natal Reserves, Drakensberg, KwaZulu-Natal. 3. Rorke's Drift, Isandlwana and Blood RIver battlefields, KwaZulu-Natal. 4. Hlane Royal National Park,, Swaziland. 6. Arathusa Safari Lodge, Sabi Sand Game Reserve.
