KwaZulu-Natal, April to July 2015 - Clansthal

We had a long weekend at Clansthal beach in May with 2 other Richmond couples. We had great weather and a lovely quiet beach, in fact we're going for another long weekend in August.

Amelia, Geoff, Paula, Kevin and Ian. We had a great lunch at the campsite pub which has a deck looking our to the sea.

In the evening we had a sing-song with Ian who plays well and has a good voice.

Fishermen on the rocks on Clansthal beach.

Scottburgh in the far distance. Despite being the May holiday weekend there were very few people on the beaches.

1. Splashy Fen Music Festival. 4 days of music in the Drakensberg foothills

2. Chelmsford Dam. 3 trips to the dam taking the twins fishing.

3. Cars in the Park. Cars of all ages, bikes and more.

4. Clansthal, KZN South Coast. A long weekend by the sea.

5. Art in the Park. A 5 day display of South African artists.

6. Comrades Marathon. The oldest ultra-marathon in the world.

7. Creighton Aloe Festival. A trip on a steam train through beautiful countryside.

8. Richmond. Local events and improvements to our house.

At low tide we enjoyed investigating all the rock pools which were lovely and clear.
