KwaZulu-Natal and The Kruger National Park 2009.My sister, Diana, and her husband, David, visited us from the UK for nearly 3 weeks in July / August. They said they'd like to go to a Game Park, see the mountains and some battlefields, easy enough to do from Richmond as there are the Drakensburg Mountains a few hours drive away, Anglo-Zulu, Anglo-Boer and Boer-Zulu battlefields and memorials in the KZN Midlands and a couple of good Game Reserves. However I decided that visiting the Kruger National Park would be even better so worked out a route that would start and finish in Richmond and take in mountains, battlefields and the Kruger - and would allow a couple of days at the beach as well. |

3. Royal Natal, Drakensburg Mountains |
Kruger is a huge Park and we only saw a tiny bit of it. We spent a couple of days in South Kruger and then went to Arathusa Safari Lodge, a private reserve in the Sabie Sands area of the Park.
