Zimbabwe 2010 - Senyati Safari Camp, Botswana |
|
After leaving Vic Falls we crossed the border into Botswana at Kazangula and stopped for a night at Senyati Safari Camp (S17 52.362 E25 14.138, email: senyatisafaricamp@gmail.com) which is 15km from Kasane. We'd been recommended this site by Penny and Anton who we'd met earlier this year at Ndumo. It's a lovely site, much nicer than the two that we've stopped at before in Kasane. We were told that most evenings elephants visit the waterhole next to the campsite. |
|
We were lucky as the elephants arrived while it was still light - and stayed well into the night judging by the trumpeting that we kept hearing!

There was a very young calf with the herd. It didn't go into the water but managed to get a drink. |
We noticed that the elephants preferred the fresh water from the pump. |
