Botswana, February 2012 - Khama Rhino SanctuaryKhama Rhino Sanctuary is a great place to stay between South Africa and Maun. We planned to stay for 2 nights and ended up staying for an extra night. The Reserve was set up to provide a place where rhino could bred and then be relocated to other parts of Botswana. There are also plenty of other animals around. Malema Pan in the early morning - not much about... .... however when we returned later in the morning there were lots of animals - rhino, zebra, eland and springbok. More action at the waterhole on Malema Pan. |

This zebra foal looked quite young and had to run to keep up with mum. |
There were always birds and animals around the campsite - tree squirrels, hornbills, francolins, go-away birds and starlings. This tree squirrel enjoyed a corn husk after the francolins had pecked away at it. Relaxing in the shade. |
