South-East Botswana, April 2016 - Khama Rhino Sanctuary. This is our 3rd or 4th visit to Khama. We always like the campsites here and you're pretty well guaranteed to see rhino - we saw 15 in one morning. This Park is fenced and much smaller than the other Parks in Botswana so they're able to keep a close eye on their rhino population - so far they've not lost any to poachers. The tracks in the Park are sandy but we managed fine in high 4 wheel drive. We always see plenty of birds and tree squirrels around the campsites. |
