KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa 2014 - Kelso - Happy Wanderers Holiday Resort

We spent a long weekend here with our niece Carol and her husband Darryl, who have recently bought a caravan and have stayed at Happy Wanderers campsite on several occasions.

The campsite has direct access onto this long sandy beach.

The bar/restaurant has an old boat which serves as the bar!

There are 3 swimming pools at the site.

Fishing is popular along the KZN coast and we saw several fishermen either on the beach or fishing from the nearby rocks.

Darryl had brought his rods but didn't fish as the tides were wrong and the guys that were fishing all reported that there wasn't much about.

1. Richmond.
Our house, The Coach House (our local pub), MudMan Event , Fun Bass Fishing Competition and Armistice Memorial Service.

2. Kelso.
A long weekend with Darryl and Carol at Happy Wanderers Resort on the KZN South Coast.

3. Umlalazi Nature Reserve.

4. Chelmsford Dam.
A few days fishing with Jason and Mark.

5. Drakensberg.
A long weekend with Darryl and Carol, staying near Underberg and driving up the Sani Pass.

6. Salt Rock Resort.
More fishing for the twins, KZN North Coast.

There are lots of cats around the campsite. One cat came to see us every day and on the last evening she appeared with 3 tiny kittens one of which allowed Kevin to get quite close.
