After our Botswana trip we needed a bit of work doing on our caravan.  We tried to get it fixed in KZN but they made a complete mess of it so we decided to get it done at the main Bush Lapa factory in Paarl and to combine that with time exploring the Western Cape and catching up with some friends while we were there.   As far as possible we avoided main roads,  travelling shorter distances and often using gravel roads.

We spent 3 weeks in the Mossel Bay to Knysna area looking at houses and ended up buying one in Reebok, about half way between Mossel Bay and George.   

Our route: 

1.  Richmond to the Gariep Dam via Meiringskloof Nature Park.

2. Camdeboo National Park and Karoo National Park.

3. Winelands and Onrus.

4. Bontebok National Park and Garden Route (Wilderness, Knysna and the Brakrivers).  

5. Back to Richmond via Mountain Zebra National Park.
